Fire near Sierra Vista grows to nearly 21,000 acres

Weather permitting Saturday night, crews will be conducting burnout operations in Carr and Ramsey canyons. Crews made progress with operations in Miller Canyon, trying to keep the fire west of Arizona 92. The fire made a run Saturday afternoon toward the highway from the canyon, but crews fought back. The human-caused fire is now at about 20,000 acres.
