Test crashes suggest guardrails no match for heavy electric vehicles
Preliminary tests are raising concerns that the nation’s roadside guardrails are no match for new heavy electric vehicles. The University of Nebraska safety research facility and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers crashed a 4-ton EV pickup into a conventional guardrail at 60 mph–which did little to slow it down. #electricvehicle #automobile
