Question: Whatever happened to the guy who played Lamont on the show "Sanford and Son?" Did he go on to do movies?
Answer: Demond Wilson, 59, a Vietnam veteran and native of Valdosta, Ga., played Lamont Sanford, the son and straight man to curmudgeonly junk dealer Redd Foxx in the hit TV series from 1972 to 1977.
Wilson became a minister in 1984 and 10 years later founded the Restoration House of America, which gives spiritual advice and vocational training to former inmates.
Wilson has appeared in other television series over the years, including "Baby, I'm Back," "The Love Boat," "The New Odd Couple" and "Girlfriends." He married Cicely Loise Johnston in 1973 and has six children.
