PHOENIX — President Obama arrived in Arizona on Saturday evening on the last leg of a swing through Western states that includes visits to national parks and town hall meetings.
The president's plane landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at about 6 p.m., and he and his family were greeted on the tarmac by Gov. Jan Brewer and Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon. The Obamas then headed off to spend the night in a local hotel.
This morning, he'll reboard Air Force One for the short flight to Grand Canyon National Park, which he'll tour with the first lady and his two daughters.
Obama will return to Phoenix this evening, then give a speech on Monday morning at the annual Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in downtown Phoenix.
