In a series of videos on TikTok, one woman said she and her boyfriend gave Laundrie a ride on Aug. 29 in Wyoming.
The extensive coverage of the Gabby Petito case is renewing calls to also shine a spotlight on the cases of missing people of color.
It wasn't clear if the determination might lead to additional charges against Brian Laundrie, who is considered a person of interest in her disappearance and remains unaccounted for.
Laundrie's parents took part in the search Wednesday with the FBI and police from North Port, Florida, more than a month after Laundrie was reported missing after heading to the vast Carlton Reserve.
