Photos: Nominations for Trump's planned National Garden of American Heroes
Americans' suggestions of suitable statues for President Donald Trump's planned National Garden of American Heroes are in. Here's a look at some nominations so far.
Trump has visions of establishing by the final months of his second term—should he win one—a “National Garden of American Heroes” that will pay tribute to some of the prominent figures in the nation’s history who he sees as the “greatest Americans to ever live.” The president unveiled his plan Friday, July 3, 2020, during his speech at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, S.D.
The gallery below shows the 31 Americans listed in Trump's executive order (from John Adams to the Wright brothers) followed by nominations by state and local officials across the country.
