Offermann Stadium remembered
Lee Pettigrew, Charles Wilson, Gilbert Hargrave and Vernon Duncan grew up in the neighborhood around Offermann Stadium before it was torn down in 1962. They recall a thriving community with the stadium at its heart, and the drastic changes to the neighborhood as a result of the stadium's demolition.
