America and the world are being driven by the obsession of a pathetic man who believes that power and money matter more than country and democracy.

TEP is a for-profit monopoly owned by a Canadian corporation with major investors who don't live here, so the millions in profits we send them annually is a massive wealth drain on Tucson.

Do I wish there would have been better planning, explaining and coalition-building by this administration? Absolutely. But I am resolutely opposed to not considering the long-term safety of this country and civilization.

Our new franchise agreement also will be accompanied by a separate Energy Collaboration Agreement that commits TEP to providing significant funding for efforts that support the City’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. 

For the second time in two years, Texas is experiencing a significant measles outbreak. But unlike last year’s outbreak in the South Plains, little information is available about the new surge because it erupted at a privately operated federal detention center — and company officials aren’t talking.
