John Dillinger, known as Public Enemy No. 1, was a notorious bank robber in the early 1930s. Dillinger and his gang, known as the Dillinger Gang, arrived in Tucson in 1934. A fire on the third floor of Hotel Congress led to Dillinger and his gang's arrest. The capture and arrest of Dillinger helped put Tucson on the map, said Mincks while playing Dillinger in "The Hotel Congress Incident."
