Photos: National import car show and drag racing series hits Tucson
Import Face-Off, a national car show and drag racing series, hosted their annual car show and drag race at Tucson Dragway, 12000 S. Houghton Rd. on Jan. 5, 2019.
Attendees participated in the car show, drag racing contest as well as car limbo and car two-step.
Roughly 2,000 people were in attendance with a few traveling from Colorado and California. There were members from popular car clubs in Tucson, NvUS, Boosted Syndicate and Devcon, as well as a popular and well-known YouTube group Boosted Boiz.
Boosted Boiz, based out of Colorado, have 795,000 subscribers and are well-known for posting videos on fixing and building modified import vehicles.

Car two-stepping is where people crowd around two cars while the two vehicles rev their engines. After the vehicles are done, there is a cheering vote which determines the winner. NvUS is one of three major car clubs in Tucson. There are 30 members currently apart of NvUS.
