What to do if you're bitten
● Stay calm. Very few people die from snakebite these days, and keeping your heart rate low will help you.
● Remove jewelry, especially rings, watches and bracelets.
● Mark the time. The progress of swelling will help doctors know how much venom you got.
● It's extremely important to get to a hospital as quickly as possible.
● Don't cut the wound or use suction or ice. All of these methods have now been shown to increase damage.
● Don't drink alcohol to numb the pain. It'll speed the progress of venom to your heart.
