SAFFORD — An Arizona Department of Public Safety officer is in critical condition after a semi-truck hit his cruiser on Interstate 10 south of Safford in Southeastern Arizona.
DPS Lt. James Warriner says the officer was trapped in his vehicle for 45 minutes and was then flown to University Medical Center in Tucson.
It's unclear what caused the collision. The officer's name has not been released.
