The Bureau of Land Management is concerned about shifting winds pushing through a wildfire in southwest Arizona Thursday.
BLM spokeswoman Pamela Mathis says the fire has burned between 400 and 600 acres. About 95 percent of the fire is burning on the Arizona side of the Colorado River north of Yuma. Salt cedars lining the river are fueling the wildfire.
There are no containment numbers on the wildfire.
The blaze started late Wednesday afternoon on the California side of the river and jumped across to the Arizona side. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
About 60 firefighters are on the lines from federal and local fire agencies.
