LEXINGTON, Ky. — A former Douglas teacher wanted on child-sex charges in Douglas dating back nearly two decades has been arrested by police in Lexington, Ky., where he now lives.
Kerry McJunkins was arrested at his home Tuesday on a Cochise County fugitive warrant and later released from jail after posting $20,000 cash bond.
Broadcast reports say the charges were filed against the 38-year-old McJunkins on allegations from the 1980s, when he was a teacher at a private school in Douglas.
A complaint filed in Douglas Justice Court last month charges McJunkins with five counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count each of indecent exposure and child molestation.
