PHOENIX (AP) — Lottery officials say a winning ticket for Wednesday's $188.9 million Powerball jackpot was sold in Arizona.
The Arizona Lottery said Thursday that the ticket was purchased in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale.
Officials did not say if anyone has stepped forward to claim it.
State lawmakers earlier this year passed a bill that would shield lottery winners' identities. But the legislation won't take effect until next month.
Under the bill, winners' names will be withheld for 90 days after they claim their prizes.
