BULLHEAD CITY — The son of Arizona state Sen. Ron Gould has pleaded guilty to a felony theft charge prosecutors filed after he was arrested for allegedly stealing and then pawning his father-in-law’s power tools.
Six felony charges of trafficking in stolen property were dismissed as part of a plea deal 23-year-old Robert Wayne Gould reached with prosecutors. The Mohave Daily News reports that Gould faces up to 90 days in jail and three years’ probation under terms of the plea deal reached last week. He will be sentenced on Jan. 23.
The felony theft charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor if he completes probation.
Robert Gould was arrested Oct. 6 after allegedly pawning tools stolen from the father-in-law’s Kingman garage.
