PHOENIX — A former teacher at Paradise Valley High School was sentenced Friday to six months in jail for a sexual relationship with one of her students.
Jennifer Mally, 27, was facing up to six years behind bars when she was sentenced in Maricopa County Superior Court.
She pleaded guilty in March to three felony counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
Mally originally was charged with 29 criminal counts involving sexual acts with the 16-year-old male student from October 2006 to April 2007.
The teenager told school officials of the sexual relationship, despite Mally's pleas in a police-recorded telephone call urging the boy to deny it.
