SUN CITY — Arizona Game and Fish officials are investigating at least four coyote deaths in Sun City West, and they believe someone may be poisoning the animals.
Game and Fish law enforcement programs coordinator John Romero said four dead animals were found within days of each other at golf courses in the Maricopa County area last month. Finding four dead coyotes in such a short period is unusual, and Romero said it is unlikely they died of natural causes because they are such resilient animals. He said poisoning a wild animal can carry a fine of $1,500 or more.
