The 1905 hanging of Zach Booth (waving hat) behind the Gila County Courthouse in Globe, Ariz. Booth, the last man to be hanged in Globe, was sentenced for killing two sheepherders two years prior. According to the Arizona Silver Belt newspaper, Booth said, "Goodbye boys, goodbye everyone. A lot of people are here to see Zach go the route. I'm an innocent man. I'm off to meet my dear old mother in heaven."
