Paralyzed man walks after Bluetooth connects his brain and spine
A man paralyzed by a cycling accident is able to walk again after an experimental operation by neuroscientists and surgeons in Switzerland. They’ve established a wireless connection between his damaged spine and brain which they say has enabled him to stand, walk and even climb stairs. Gert-Jan Oskam is able to walk again thanks to a new procedure by neurosurgeons. The 40-year-old suffered a spinal cord injury after a bicycle accident. It left him paralyzed. Now he is able to show us how he can stand, walk and even climb stairs.
