Joint NATO forces train in Slovakia
As Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine reaches the one-year mark, Slovakia has experienced first-hand what it’s NATO membership is worth. It has been covered by military protection as never before which in turn enables the country to donate arms to Ukrainian armed forces to counter the aggression. The service members from allied nations, including the United States, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Slovenia and the Czech Republic have formed the multinational battlegroup in Slovakia as part of the NATO initiative to reassure member countries on the alliance’s eastern flank by sending forces to help protect them.
