I learned today that Dept. of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth is likely to recommend that US Army forts and bases be renamed for Confederate generals who conducted warfare against the Untied States to protect the rights of slaveholders.
I can't help but wonder if he will recommend changing the name of military installations after others who have conducted warfare against the United States. How about Ft. King George III? Ft. Hitler? Ft. bin Laden?
If we can elect someone as President who tried to overthrow our democratic election, Hegseth's plan should fit right in with Trump's new approach to representative government.
