Why would anyone be surprised by "No path....to fill teaching positions" in Arizona (and other states)? Arizona pales in comparison to my home state of Illinois for compensating educators. Teachers are undercompensated, overly criticized, and underappreciated in a country that seems to value how much a person earns a lot more than how well a person is educated. I am included in the 86% that would not recommend the job to others.
