Re: the Aug. 4 letter to the editor "Getting recycling right."
According to the web site: www.tucsonaz.gov/es/residential-recycling, the recycling info in the letter needs to be corrected. Plastic lids and metal lids can be recycled. Shredded paper can also be recycled if it is placed and secured in a clear plastic bag (only time a plastic bag can go in the container).
