Re: the July 9 column "Bipolar political world alters definition of conservative."
As usual, Leonard Pitts Jr. is low on argument and high on name-calling. He defines conservatives as "angry and fearful of the loss of white prerogative," "wholly in thrall to the Cult of Trump" and "(a) headlong march to fascism." I voted for Trump only because I couldn't tolerate a Hilary Clinton presidency. There wasn't much of a choice — both candidates had more liabilities than virtues. I'm disappointed in Trump, but I wouldn't change my vote; and I don't think my fellow conservatives deserve these disparaging names.
