Like Kelli Ward, I am a female physician. Unlike Kelli Ward, I’ve never lusted after a seat in the Senate. Also, unlike Kelly Ward, it would never occur to me to publicly (or privately) suggest that any individual diagnosed with a terminal illness should resign from their job. Even — and especially — if that job were one that I coveted. What on earth was she thinking?
Just because the behavior of certain political folk in Washington, D.C. is reprehensible, doesn’t mean it is desirable or acceptable behavior. My personal opinion is that should this type of behavior (and thinking) persist then the end of America as we know it is predictable. Sadly, just maybe, it’s already here.
