Whereas investing funds in the election process for our children is not without merit; it will be more taxpayer money misspent without true campaign finance reform. If money is the root of all evil, then who is to say which money is dark. The only viable alternative to our currently corrupt system would be for our government to allocate candidates a finite amount of funds for each campaign. Each candidate would have to meet a certain criteria of ethical standards. Then we would have the opportunity to see how each person manages money. A lot of lobbyists would be out of business, and we could become a democratic country once more.
