Letter: Median and average teacher salaries

There has been a lot of talk and news about average teacher pay in Arizona. I would look at that average and say, "Wow, who makes that much?" Good for them, but I do not know any teachers that earn the average salary. A more reflective number for how much teachers earn is the median salary. That amount is 39,300, which means half the teachers in Arizona earn less than this.
