Trump-backed Paxton wins Texas primary
President Trump scored another major primary victory after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton defeated longtime Senator John Cornyn in the GOP runoff. The race is being viewed as a major test of Trump’s influence over the Republican Party heading into November.
