CDC Warns: Cyclospora Outbreak Tied to Taco Bell Lettuce in 5 States
The CDC, FDA and state health officials are investigating a multistate Cyclospora outbreak linked to shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. More than 1,644 people across the outbreak have been reported to the CDC. On July 17, 2026, supplier Taylor Farms de Mexico recalled all iceberg lettuce sourced from central Mexico and pulled it from the US market. The CDC says the true number of illnesses is likely higher, since many people recover without seeking medical care. WooGlobe Ref : WGA456644
