Post-Week 3 CFB Power Rankings
College Football Power Rankings after Week 3 are starting to separate - but the top of the board still looks very different from the AP poll. Cam Mellor and Oliver Hodgkinson run through all 25, from SMU at No. 25 to Miami sitting alone at No. 1. Miami stays on top behind a loaded roster and the best quarterback in college football so far, while Indiana, Georgia and Notre Dame round out a crowded group at the top. Ole Miss climbs into the top five after statement wins over LSU and Louisville, Texas, Ohio State and Oregon remain outside the top three after underwhelming Week 3 performances, and Alabama stays at No. 10 despite giving up 36 points to Florida State. Elsewhere: Florida cracks the Top 25, BYU and Utah emerge as the teams to beat in the Big 12, Texas A&M tumbles after losing to Kentucky, Texas Tech survives a scare against Houston, Iowa's defense continues to fly under the radar, and LSU's difficult schedule puts the Tigers' College Football Playoff hopes in question. And don't sleep on Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are making a serious case to enter the Top 25 behind Kamario Taylor, Jeff Lebby's offense and two straight road Power Four wins. Can they take down Missouri and force their way onto the board? To think you can avoid a date in the USA TODAY Sports court is foolish thinking. It’s just a matter of when you’ll have to show up.
