Olympic Skier Lindsey Vonn Reveals Retirement Struggles
Olympic medalist Lindsey Vonn has revealed the extent of her retirement struggles, including multiple surgeries and a knee replacement. Vonn retired from skiing in 2019 after winning an Olympic gold medal, two Olympic bronze medals and four World Cup overall championships. Despite the success, Vonn explained how she had paid the price of a successful career, outlining the various tribulations that have come with it. "Yeah, my right knee is in a constant state of pain pretty much, so I’m just trying to manage that. I definitely paid a heavy price for the success I had in my skiing career. But I have no regrets," said Vonn. She also mentioned that her knee injury in 2013 led to her experiencing bouts of insomnia before her doctor prescribed QUVIVIQ. Vonn is set to have knee replacement surgery in the next few months as she hopes to start enjoying the rest of her life. She hopes to start a family of her own at some point in the near future, with the dream of being able to ski with her kids.
