3 gross things you’re forgetting to clean according to TikTok creators

You’ve swept your floors, done the dishes, and washed your sheets, but even if your house looks spotless, you might be missing out on a few gross things that need a deep clean. These TikTok creators point out those nasty items you’re missing.

1. Your hairbrushes are grosser than you think.

Cleaning and organization expert @jessicahaizman doesn’t leave a single spot overlooked when she undertakes a cleaning project. In this #cleanwithme video, she gives her hairbrushes a deep clean by giving them a bath in her shampoo and half a cup of baking soda. She recommends cleaning your hairbrushes every three weeks to avoid the mucky brown water the bath revealed.

2. What’s hiding under your washer?

Your washer and dryer help you with weekly cleaning, but you’re probably neglecting what’s happening underneath. Cleaning and organization TikTok creator @cleanwithnessa shows just how satisfying moving your appliances and vacuuming up the dusty mess underneath can be.

3. Give your baseboards a good wipe down.

Sweeping your floors isn’t quite enough to give your house that sparkling clean look. Self-described “Queen of cleaning” and housekeeper Vanesa Amaro takes some serious pride in transforming her clients’ homes through clever cleaning hacks. In this video, she points out one area that’s often overlooked: the baseboards. She recommends dusting the baseboard first, then getting rid of the grime with a multipurpose cleaner on a microfiber towel.
