Some of the best Arizona Daily Star photos of 2019
Each day is a new day in the news business. It's a chance to start fresh and see things in a new way. The photographers at the Arizona Daily Star approach each day the same way. Sometimes a great photo happens in the first 10 minutes of the day. Sometimes it happens at the end of an agonizing four-hour football game. One thing is for certain: Star photojournalists are always vigilant. Life is fleeting and so are great photographs.
These images were selected by photo editor Rick Wiley, based on technical quality, composition, light and just plain, old gut reaction.
