The SaddleBrooke Freethinkers and Gays, Lesbians, and Allies of SaddleBrooke (GLAAS) held a joint social at the SaddleBrooke HOA-1 Activity Center on Friday, September 29.
Over 110 SaddleBrooke residents (members of either Freethinkers, GLAAS, or both) were treated to a wonderful dinner to kick off the fall season. There were indoor and outdoor tables where members could dine under the stars on a beautiful September night featuring a full Harvest Moon.

Its mission is to: “provide lectures of interest, social programs and presentations on topics that promote open exchange of ideas.” The Speakers’ Committee is busy putting together a full schedule of monthly speakers for 2023 to 2024. Starting with the program—on Sunday, November 19, SB Freethinkers is moving back to their previous Sunday morning time. The meetings will now take place in the Vermillion Room at the SaddleBrooke HOA-1 Clubhouse, just off the Vistas dining room. Coffee will be served starting at 9:15 a.m., and the program start time will be 9:45. Note: The Road Runner Grill will be open for those wishing to continue their conversations over lunch after the meeting. Dues are $15 annually. GLAAS stands for Gays, Lesbians and Allies at SaddleBrooke. GLAAS is a club for SaddleBrooke residents that organizes social events, educational programming and opportunities for charitable giving to LGBTQ Youth in need. Its mission is to “use the power of the community and camaraderie to celebrate the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and straight people and their relationships.” Dues are $15 annually. To join and for more information, visit their website at glaasclub.com. Don’t tell anyone, but GLAAS has the BEST potlucks in SaddleBrooke.
Both organizations welcome all residents of SaddleBrooke.
