I started my nursing career as an LPN, then RN, and APRN. I have been in nursing for 47 years. The wonder of caring for patients and seeing them healed has always drawn me to nursing. In wound care, salvaging a limb or healing a chronic wound improves a patient's quality of life and changes my perspective on patient care, healing, and the patient for the better, encouraging me to strive to provide improved care and understanding to patients.
