Taking care of my father when he was ill was the first instance when I decided to become a nurse. I completed my Bachelor's of Nursing in the Philippines and pursued Cardiac Nursing and Critical Care. I had the opportunity to travel and work in the United Kingdom and eventually arrived in the United States in 2005. I have been blessed to work with many passionate, highly experienced nurses who have become mentors and friends. In Maryland, where I worked as a Cardiac Rehab Nurse, one of my patients told me before I moved to Arizona, "Abbie, wherever you are, BE THERE." I realized then that wherever life took me, I needed to live it fully, cherish the people I met, and learn from every journey. Every leap of faith and career decision I made throughout my career prepared me for my current role. My goal is to continue helping enhance our potential as nurses to make a difference in the healthcare system as a whole.
