Arizona center Motiejus Krivas and former Wildcat forward Paulius Murauskas both had double-doubles to lead Lithuania to a 93-63 win over Iceland in their U20 EuroBasket opener Saturday in Gdynia, Poland.
Krivas had 17 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 7-for-11 from the field. Murauskas, now an incoming transfer at Saint Mary's, had 19 points and 12 rebounds while hitting all eight field goals he tried -- including three 3-pointers.
Meanwhile, UA guard Conrad Martinez had four points, three rebounds and five assists in 15 minutes off the bench for Spain during its 93-38 blowout win over North Macedonia.
Spain will face Belgium on Sunday at 6:30 a.m. Arizona time while Lithuania will face Slovenia at 9 a.m. All U20 EuroBasket games are being streamed on FIBA's YouTube channel.
