Four SUV vehicles with national championship decals along the doors parked on the curb just outside of the Eddie Lynch Athletics Pavilion on the north side of McKale Center.
The passengers were the Arizona Wildcats women's golf team returning home to Tucson for the first time since beating Alabama to bring home the national championship.
All smiles. A few tears. And despite a year of investigations and scandals, the UA women's golf team brought a positive light to the athletics program. Haley Moore, Bianca Pagdanganan, Yu-Sang Hou, Sandra Nordaas and Gigi Stoll in a team effort gave Arizona its first national championship since 2000 when current head coach Laura Ianello was a player.
