Despite foul trouble from its veteran guards, No. 7 seed Arizona defeated No. 10 seed West Virginia 75-62 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to set up a showdown with No. 2 seed Maryland and Coach Brenda Freese, a former Wildcat.
