Photos: Wildcats' softball season ends with 5-2 loss to Texas in WCWS
The University of Texas defeated the Arizona Wildcats, 5-2, in the Bracket 2 elimination game at the 2022 NCAA Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City on June 5. Texas moves on to face Oklahoma State for a chance to make it the championship finals.

Sunday’s loss ends arguably the most unlikely of Arizona’s 25 WCWS appearances.
Lucas Conti, a Corona, California native, became the second defensive lineman to commit to the Arizona Wildcats for 2023.
“They didn't try to be last year's team or the teams of the past. They did it with their own stamp having fun."
