The Kona 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo cycling event is an overnight mountain bike race that began at noon Saturday and ends at noon today at Willow Springs Ranch north of Tucson.
The 11th annual race includes 1,675 cyclists who compete for prizes as solo riders or on teams. Each rider tackles a 16.4-mile loop at least once. The group or rider that completes the most laps within the 24-hour period wins. Cyclists and support teams set up a tent city at the Ranch and live there for the weekend.
