The UA will host the NCAA South Central Regional at McKale Center next April. The Wildcats have participated in regionals for 20 straight years and automatically will be placed in the April 14, 2007, South Central Regional if they qualify for postseason.
Arizona will be hosting a regional for the fifth time.
Other schools chosen as regional hosts were Alabama, Central; Denver, North Central; Michigan, Northeast; West Virginia, Southeast; and California, West.
