Newcomer info: Transfer from Duquesne sat out 2012 while awaiting the start of his final two years of eligibility per NCAA rules. The true point guard is known for his passing excellence, heady play and solid jump shot.

Height, weight: 6-3, 200 pounds

2012 stats: Do-everything guard led the Cats with 112 assists and 68 steals and also improved his jumper by shooting 39.3 percent from the three-point line. After recording a 47-inch vertical leap not long ago during the offseason, he appears ready to take another step forward.

2012 stats: As a true freshman, Ashley averaged 7.5 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting at a 53.8 percent clip from the field. He also made all three of his three-point attempts.
