Bob Weber, the Arizona Wildcats' head football coach from 1969 to 1972, died Saturday of pancreatic cancer at Tucson Medical Center. He was 75.
Weber was just 35 years old when he was hired to succeed Darrell Mudra following the 1968 season.
Weber went 16-26 in four seasons before being replaced by Jim Young. He retired to Tucson in the mid-1990s.
Weber is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie; three children, Roger, Joe, and Christine; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1200 N. Campbell Ave., at a date yet to be determined.
