Carla Garrett
• Olympics: 1992, Barcelona
• Local connection: Attended the UA
• Feat: Competed in the discus for the United States in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Garrett didn't make it out of her group in the qualifying heats, finishing 13th out of 14 with a throw of 58.06 meters. The United States earned 30 medals in the track events - nine more than any other country.
• Current: Garrett serves as the strength and conditioning coach for the football team at Salpointe Catholic High School. She has been at Salpointe since 2006.
