"It's clearly fake because it's not my voice and not my lips moving," Tkachuk said. "… I know that those words would never come out of my mouth."
This time it was Hilary Knight’s turn to provide a big laugh in the wake of a weeklong dustup involving the United States women and men’s gold medal-winning hockey teams.
Athletes with such disabilities have been excluded since 1998 due to a scandal at the Sydney 2000 Games.
The Paralympics do not include figure skating, but there's a movement to change that.
The Winter Paralympics has officially opened amid tensions of war in the Middle East and with some countries boycotting the opening ceremony because of the return of the Russian flag.
Transgender women athletes are now excluded from the Olympics after the IOC agreed to a new eligibility policy that aligns with Trump's executive order on women's sports.
Despite a crash at the Milano Cortina Olympics that fractured her tibia and nearly forced doctors to amputate her leg, Lindsey Vonn is still contemplating a return to competitive skiing.
The launch runs through April 19 for fans who were selected through a draw and assigned time slots. Tickets are available across Olympic events, including the opening and closing ceremonies.
