2 golds, 1 silver later, Tucson's Kevin Peraza builds history-making X Games haul
Tucson native Kevin Peraza cleaned up in the BMX disciplines at the 2023 X Games July 21-23 in Ventura, California. Peraza, 28, won the BMX Street event Friday, making him the first X Games BMX competitor to own gold medals in the street, park and dirt disciplines; but he wasn't done there, adding a silver Saturday and another gold (the fifth of his career) Sunday.

Kevin Peraza receives his third medal of the weekend at the 2023 X Games Sunday, July 23, 2023, in Ventura, California. It was his second gold of the weekend and fifth gold of his X Games Career. This time, he did it in the BMX Park Best Trick event where instead of stringing together a 40 second run throughout the entire course, riders perform one trick, typically much higher risk that takes multiple attempts to land. The Tucson native landed both of his tricks first try.
