Former Arizona diver Sam Pickens posted a score of 271.80 to finish fourth in the the 3-meter springboard event at the World University Games in Gwangju, Korea on Wednesday.
Pickens missed a medal by 26.35 points. China took gold and silver in the event with Shuangxue Zheng (338.35) and Tian Liu (308.70), respectively. Korea’s Nami Kim took bronze with a score of 298.15.
On Saturday, Pickens took ninth place in the 1-meter springboard, an event she won a pair of NCAA titles in during her time at Arizona.
