VIDEO: Chance to be No. 1 'nothing you shy away from," Tommy Lloyd says
After Arizona beat Auburn 97-68 to put itself in the conversation for the No. 1 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 on Monday, UA coach Tommy Lloyd said the possibility was nothing to shy away from even as he discussed how many good teams there are in college basketball so far this season.

After throttling No. 20 Auburn, and after No. 1 Purdue lost at home to Iowa State, Arizona men's basketball made its argument for the top spot in the AP poll.
Arizona jumped from No. 2 to No. 1 after beating Auburn and after Big 12 counterpart Iowa State knocked off the former No. 1 team, Purdue.
The last 21 NCAA champions were ranked among the top 12 teams in the sixth AP Top 25 poll of the season. That poll currently lists UA at No. 1.
